Jaguar E-Type fills as you know 50 this year, and to celebrate the British sports car manufacturer has a secret Swiss businessman with help from the Swedish quarters assigned to develop a concept car that may make your mouth water. The result is the Growler E.

Bo Zolland from Umeå-based Vizualtech is strong and proven to produce shapes that evoke emotion and greed. Recently, Bo and Swiss designer Robert Palm commissioned to produce a concept car that is a pure celebration of the world's probably most classic sports car - the Jaguar E-Type. The client is a Swiss businessman who has chosen to remain anonymous.

Forms are extremely similar to the Jaguar E-Type, but the technology has nothing to do with the original car. Like the E-Type, which came in 1961's. With long hood and interior space located at the back. The grill is unmistakable original car. The most obvious difference in the snout compared to the E-Type is the concept car's dual headlights.

Growler E 2011 Concept, the concept car's name, is based on the Jaguar XKR and the supercharged V8 engine in five liters and 510 horsepower. But the Growler E, the effect is turned up to 600 horsepower. Add to that the Growler E is more than a few hundred kilograms lighter (total of 1 550 kg) than the XKR, thanks to heavy use of carbon fiber and composite materials in the body and chassis design. While Jaguar XKR fixes 0-100 km / h in 4.8 seconds estimated that Growler E makes the same sprint in under four seconds.

Components such as suspension and gearbox are taken from the XKR, as well as large parts of the interior, the XKR: P.

Growler E 2011 Concept is supposed to remain a unique car in one single copy. But, if it proves to be an interest in the car, there is the possibility that the hand-built in small editions.

Hand Built

Each car will be built by hand, something that takes six months. Three or four cars can be built in parallel. If interest in the car turns out to be really big can Vizualtech come to let specialists such as Valmet in Finland or Steyr in Austria to build it.

Growler E has a body made of composite material that is affixed to a chassis of carbon fiber. Many components such as engine, is derived from the Jaguar XKR. The supercharged engine is upptrimmad to 600 horsepower from the original 510 horsepower. 0-100 km/h is expected to go under 4 seconds.
